Photo of July Blooms......Part 2

Gita, that's a good size for those lily bulbs. The one you posted the photo of with a little pink on the outside is the regular regale lily. Album is white inside and out. Pink Perfection is of course pink and Golden Splendor is yellow. I haven't grown it but judging by photos I've seen, it's a yellower yellow than African Queen. They're all gorgeous.

I got some regales in the Ednie coop this spring. Unfortunately, most of the five bulbs I got were rotten and only one grew and bloomed. Neal arranged for replacements but they were planted too late to bloom this year. Hopefully next year I'll have a nice show. By happenstance, one of the pink tiger lilies I got last year from bloomingbulb turned out to be album. I couldn't say which of the two I like better. They're both so pretty.

I'm seriously lusting after African Queen. And some more orienpets. And some formosa lilies. I thought I had posted some lily photos but I guess I didn't. Here's the orienpet Invasion. The flowers were huge and there were a lot of them, something I didn't expect the first year.
