I had planted 2 seeds of Chachamaru at two different times and neither germinated. So I planted a Kohkan seed in their place (on the right side of the arbor). The Kohkan germinated and has been growing and blooming, though it is still a small vine. It was planted several weeks later than the other Kohkan seed on the left side of the arbor that has reached to the top of the trellis on the arbor.

Well, I walked out this morning and what bloom do I see???? CHACHAMARU!!! LOL! It took forever for this one to germinate and it is now starting to bloom. So it is growing along side of Kohkan! Too funny.

It got hot really quick this morning, so I didn't get a shot of the bloom in time before it started ... melting! LOL! Here it is in it's wilting state. Still a cute little bloom!
