Here is the north Texas gardeners' best friend -- mulch. The City is redoing my neighborhood's streets (+ water and sewer lines) and cut down/mulched all the trees in the median last fall. I took as much Live Oak mulch as I had storage space for. I didn't need to buy mulch this year and most likely won't need to buy it next year either. The City has saved me a bunch of money!
