Jackie, sorry to hear about the mildew. I thought mildew and begonias was a way of life. Not that I've given up on the thin leaf canes but I think they are best treated as annuals for me due to mildew and no great place to put them in winter. The good news is Home Depot had gorgeous 8 inch pots last year for the unbelievable price of $4. I'm hoping they do the same thing this year.

One of the houses on the tour had some nice begonias and staghorn ferns at one of their entrances.
