I've just come back from the Carolina's both North and South. We were camping at Huntington Beach State Park, S.C. for close to 2 weeks. If you like the beach and an have an adventurous nature you would love it there. The "pond" is a rather big freshwater lake on one side of a causeway and a salt marsh on the other side. Here is one of the local residents.
