Margaret, I'm not sure what happened with the 'remains', I think that happened the last time they nested there 2 years ago. It might have been a Magpie but that is speculation, they do take young birds for their own young.

It was sunny today and Soooo lovely, but I had to go to the dentist, what a spoil! I had a good photo shoot session first though! It's a shame the nest is in the shadows, but then what nest isn't unless on the ground. I waited for ages tonight while the sun was setting, the lower it got the shodow got less but they were all too busy catching insects before nightfall.

I watched two birds fly into the nest earlier, a lot of twittering went on. Some time later one was being tipped out! Lol, it was funny to watch, not sure if it was the male or an intruder but I would guess the male, if an intruder the other one of the pair would have been there to help out.
