Yes it was very beautiful! We hoped to catch all the native rhododendrons in bloom but missed them by a few days. We had been to Munchkin Gardens ( http://www.munchkinnursery.com/) the previous weeked in Southern Indiana and took a tour and bought some plants too. Gene was very delightful in showing us all the plants he had. Thank goodness we went because we saw literally millions of the very plants he had shown us such as Trillium, Solomon Seal, Lady Slippers, Foam Flowers, Heuchera, Jack In The Pulpit and ferns growing wild there. It was like being in OZ now that we knew what we were looking at! I had probably seen these plants all my life and just thought they were "weeds". We went last fall too but after the drought we had this past summer the plants just weren't as noticeable. Can't wait to go back!
