i have sizzles and bantam frizzled cochins. when i hatched my sizzles out i got 4 different featherings. see if i can explain them all. sizzle(barbed feathers that curl backwards), smooth sizzle(barbed feathers flat like normal feathers), frizzled silkie,( silkie feathering that is shredded but curl backwards) and silkie(they look identical to silkie u can't tell they r crosses). mine r 3rd and 4th generations i'm working on 5th generation crossing them to showgirls and silkies to see what i get from them to work with. if u breed a blue or a black to a splash u will get = blue, black or splash with either color. splash to splash =splash. u can breed frizzle gene to frizzle gene but not more than 2 years of breeding or it will throw curlies. at some point u need to to get the better qualities from them.
