Ok so i am going to go a little bit backwards here. My sister and DH left in a big hurry, had a major fight so that was bummer, they straightened everything ouut now so thats good. Anyway Julia was indeed surprised. The Seniors had to write a paper on why they deserved this scholarship and give 2 dollars for grade transcript. Well she did not have the 2 bucks so just handed in the paper. The teachers all voted it was her unanimously.
This is what the Plaque reads:

Everyone was really happy for her. Plus the money will be donated towards her college directly to the college!
Another really neat thing is this particular award was just created by the family.
Julia is the first to receive it. One of the Band moms said She has really set the standards high.
What a nice compliment.
