That group of Tete-a-tetes has done very well, there wasn't more than 3 bulbs there to begin with. Mine start yellow, I'm not sure if the others get the orange hue the same but probably do, they usually look yellow to me! Mine are single flowered too, they have been there a few years and multiplied. Maybe the soil has something to do with the colour.

This is a large trumpet like King Alfred.
