Here I am in my vault hole. My DH and DS enjoyed my efforts of digging. But I "Gotter Done" without any help with the digging, but then I didn't have much clay nor any rocks to deal with like you might. The biggest pain was laying the rubber. I needed help for that. Then DH volunteered to get the pump and hose glued together and the water flowing.

At this point, he was becoming far less skeptical about the project. The biggest back breaker was moving the rocks, but I worked slow and steady and finished most with only some help with the big stones. But once I got really going with that work, DH kept showing up to help as it started to look like something, plus he wanted to put certain stones in certain places. Now he likes it more than me.

We had a tiny back wash going under the liner at the top, thus loosing a small amount of water He called the guy in Hyannis who I bought all the stuff from to chat about how to fix it. They were going on and on about endless streams. He found out that we had attached the rubber to the filter vault wrong so he fixed that yesterday in this mild weather we are having. He only had to move a few rocks around the top, but didn't have to change any of the stream. DH is a true convert! Dig away and enjoy. Patti

This is a great article that helped my DH understand what I was wanting to do after I saw Songs and Kathy's streams.
