I have a friend who will board of them temporarily--but her chickens are free ranging silkie/bantam crosses that roost in her barn's rafters. My guys are too big for that and the coyotes will dispatch them eventually. I've tried Freecycle and got two hits, but the most promising has not gotten back to me and I think the other was looking for a free meal. I hadn't considered Craigs List--but will try that now. They are really such sweet birds--when the girls start sparing the Orpington just walks around them--but he is the first to come when you go out in the garden.
