You may want to start with a smaller container for your first one, but you'll soon learn there is not much to it. I made a few my first year, and then last Spring, I quickly knocked out a bunch more, including a little fountain/water feature. I think it's the highlight of my garden, and it is definitely way cheaper than anything I could ever buy.
