He was pressure shod and hot nailed. He was also beaten. I thought for a time that I was going to have to put him down due to the fact his fear made him dangerous. He would blow up and mentally "check out". But he has finally come around with fair, consistent treatment. He knows what the rules are and being an intelligent animal he has figured out that breaking the rules earns punishment but never beatings. His trust is slowly coming back and I am starting to see glints of his personality coming through. He is a very imposing figure. Tall and regal with a proud bearing.
