Photo of Questions & Anthers! LOL

Hi Everyone...I've been busy lately so i haven't been on the net alot lately but i just had to post this picture!

I've had a few deformed anthers on various hybrids with the cooler weather but this is a photo i took a couple of days ago in my greenhouse of the reproductive parts of an 'Ecuador Pink' flower.

Before the flower had fully opened i'd polinated the stigma and didn't notice anything odd! When the flower fully opened i noticed that the corolla peaks appeared more petal like as the area between the peaks were deeper than usual. When I looked inside there bloom i saw 7 anthers instead of the normal 5! At first i actually thought there was eight but one of them was a twisted up stigma. Two of the original anthers had split and so possesed two anthers each (double anthers).Unfortunatly I ripped the corrola appart without takeing a photo of it!

Has anyone had anything similar happen or have any clues as to why this happened?
