I do grow mine in pots as I don't like to wait until June for blooms as my brother has his in the ground. They do come back faithfully but in my pots I have blooms almost year round.
I have tried and tried to propagate and can't but am determined this summer to get babies.

The nuseries I know who propagate them all say they have some secret rooting powder. Maybe in the summer time they will root easier.
