Last Monday our main sewer line collapsed. The line's been replaced, but now I'm faced with a big muddy mess from the foundation of the house, out through the front yard to the street. And it's December. And we're in Maryland - zone 6b/7a. I can probably take care of the garden areas near the foundation with a little mulch and wait it out until spring. The lawn is the bigger issue. I thought about covering the whole muddy mess up with straw and waiting until spring to reseed. We have a lot a shade and the lawn is primarily fescue, or at least it was. Besides being a real eyesore, the kids and dogs and mailman are tracking mud everywhere. Any suggestions? Thanks! Steve |
