Pelle …Thanks! Hope your hawk finds somewhere else to go. I love to watch them soaring over the desert here; but it’s no fun when they scare off all the other birds. Between the hawks, roadrunners and occasional rattlesnakes I have here, my little birds really have to stay alert.

Mrs Ed … I was surprised too that my woodpecker went for the nectar feeder. I’m not sure where your hummers went; but mine probably joined them. I haven’t seen my hummers since early October; but they’ll be back in the spring.

We had our first snow last night; but it had all melted by noon today. My birds look like fat little things with their feathers poofed out. Here’s a pair of Inca Doves trying to keep warm.
