To me they are the "BIG Bumble Bee" (Not the carpenter bee).

I have no idea where to put them in the bug files.
I have lots of photos of these guys, close up as my camera could focus on.
Front, back, wings, mouth. As much as I could get

I would love to add these to the Bugfiles and know more about them.

My past experience is that I see them late in the year in the garden.
They are very gentle, just as the "little" bumble bee. (Prairie Bumble Bee)

You can pet both the "Big" and the "little" bumble bee.
It amazes me how gentle they are.

Any direction would be "greatly" appreciated.

(I will add a couple more pics for ID, if needed)
