I love travelling but as everyone must have gathered by now, I am an unconditionnal cruiser. The closest we came to that whas when we got off the ship in Honolulu and stayed at the Hawai'i Prince for 5 days as we criss-crossed the island from one end to the other. We see the world one port at a time and enjoy ourselves tremendously in between ports of call. Cruise ships allow us to play millionaires. They afford great security in troubled times. My wife being handicapped, the level of service is very important and there's always someone secretly keeping an eye on her when I'm off the ship, exploring our various destinations.
