The celosia when they age (the lighter part of the bloom) will develop seed. You can hold it over a cookie sheet and shake and tiny round shiny black seeds will rain down. I am not sure how one would harvest seed from the Amaranthus ~ love lies bleeding ~ perhaps someone else can help us with that. In your photo, does yours have a purple vein on the leaves or was that a nearby plant? |
