bluespiral wrote: As always, am admiring everyone's entertaining flower pics - many thank yews For the life of me, I can't see a difference between the picture I'm posting here of Keiryu in our garden this summer, and Emma's pic here - http://pics.davesgarden.com/pics/EmmaGrace_1192854592_227.jp... - that Ron says ( http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/p.php?pid=4104308 ) looks like "a lighter version of the Ukigumo blizzard that Joseph got". Is mine really Keiryu? Whatever this incredible beauty is, I sure hope never to be without it. The blue looked kind of turquoise-y to me and was set off nicely by the yellow-ish green leaves - wonderful with dusky, black-toned reds (leaves of canna) and purply maroons (stems of Sedum 'Madronna' (spelling?) (Unfortunately, this was one of the latest to bloom here and not too generous with flowers or seed, which I think can be remedied by giving it more sun next summer.) (ps - How about someone posting a pic to the PlantFiles page for Ukigumo? - http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/162884/ ) (pps - more thank yews to PamSue who shared this seed of Keiryu from seed she aquired from Japan, and to Critterologist who gave me a pot of the canna last summer - seems like yesterday) Thanks in advance for helping me out of my muddle here - Karen |
