Little dead mice, grasshoppers, crickets, dessicated bird parts, all sorts of "goodies" that she thinks that I will like. She will bring them to my patio door to my bedroom and drop them off for me. She also talks to me. No, I'm not going bonkers! She does talk to me. She tells me of her daily exploits out in the yard when I come home from work. But when she brings me a "gift", her way of talking changes. It's more urgent. More of a "Come here daddy!!! Look what I found!!! Hurry!!! Hurry!! I guess you can tell where this is going? :D Sooooooo.....Late last night while I was in my room watching TV, I heard her. I knew she had brought me another treasure to behold. But this time something was different. Her tone of voice was much more urgent. To the point of being hysterical. So I jumped up to see what was going on. I opened the door and there she sat with a little gray lump laying in the grass in front of her. She immediately started telling me ALL about it. All tho, in her hysteria, I couldn't understand her. I reached down to pick it up, expecting it to be some poor rodent that had given up the ghost. But to my surprise, it was this little gray and yellow bird. And it was still alive!! I immediately whisked it away to safety while Saphra was still babbling about the "how and why" of it all. Here are several pics. I would like to know more about it, but don't know where to look. So, I thought I would start here. |
