Ronnie, Thanks...now will it come back from seeds? Will it even make seeds? Yep, I got a pod on the vine and time will tell!!!

Moonflowers surprise you when you first see them. They are like beacons shining in the darkness. They are so pretty!

beckygardener, Your hige is very pretty as she is. Pictures can be such a pain because the colors refuse to be right sometimes no matter when and how you go take the picture. I can give you some information that could be helpful.

Sunrise Serenade is a big expansive vine like Gypsy Bride to compare sizes. They have big leaves, thick stems and really big full flowers and mostly double shredded flowers. They are very dark pink with red "eyes" in the petals. I suppose with breeding these types of vines could come in other colors and have different names according to the color like the others.

I notice a smaller type of hige has a smaller flower 1-2 inch, smaller vine(me like that) that doesn`t cover quite as much trellis and has delicate thin stems. The flowers are seen in almost single, split semi double, fully shredded round pom pom ball flowers (we all like) forms. These can all appear on a single vine.

I`m not positive about this or stating this as a indisputable fact but it looks to me like the weather seems to influence the flowers on these smaller higes. Hot weather brings more almost single but curly and split blooms while cooler weather brings out more double shredded pom pom ball flowers. The smaller flower higes make up for the 2 inch blooms with profusion.

The pink hige I have is about a medium grower. It is a long vine but the leaves and stems cannot match the size on the Sunrise Serenade or Gypsy Bride. I`m seeing this with my own eyes because I have them all growing in my yard right now. It makes up for smaller blooms by getting covered with blooms and they love cooler weather 70-80.

In this picture you can see how lovely and delicate the higes can be. They can be huge like SS or GB,medium size and smaller and delicate. This smaller one MGJapan sent is a forever keeper for me!
