Felicia and Leslie - Ya gotta love cats for their "air of superiority"! It is a hoot to watch them and they do NOT like you to laugh at them. (My cat gets me back later! lol) She thinks I am another cat and she chases my "legs/feet" as I am walking around the house at night! She does that side-ways arched back prance around me which is a riot to watch. We love her!!!

Deb - Love your little visitor!!! Too cute. I hope you don't get too many of them. Of course, you have a local hawk, too! So probably will keep the population down.

Attached is a photo of the squirrel and the fruit rat that were having breakfast this morning. I don't see anymore rats. I think the owls and/or the hawk got the others. And there are only 2-3 squirrels now that come to my yard. The others either moved on or got hit by traffic. I see them dead along the roadside all the time. All the development has run them out of their homes. So sad. I wished I had 10+ acres just for my plants and all the wild creatures!

Luckily, no feral cats around here .... yet. I hate to see them living in the wild as they are usually not healthy unless someone is feeding and caring for them. My brother caught a momma cat and her 3 babies. They are all now indoor cats and have become much more friendlier. He had them all neutered. He said the mother cat is one of the smartest cats he's ever known. He is now a cat person because of her! LOL!

Glad y'all are enjoying this thread. Gotta love the other creatures that grace our butterfly gardens, too! Especially during the months that there are few butterflies and NO HUMMERS! LOL!
