I tried putting 2 cats in a jug with parsley but they didn't seem to like it and were not eating. Took them back out on the porch and put them on some live parsley plants and they once again seemed happy. I tried both cuttings off my live plants and washed grocery store bought parsley, but they wouldn't eat either one. Is it normal for them to only eat from a live plant?? One of the cats was history this morning. It looks like something bit it. There were two orangeish things sticking out of it so I first thought that was normal, but it had not moved at all since this morning.

It has been a great year for butterflies being around and I guess it is time for me to get into raising them to insure there will be plenty of them around. Time to build some cages for them. One thing that has surprised me is how the Sulphurs love the Mexican Petunias. Seems like there are a couple of pairs of them working over the petunias every time I go out and look. Fast little buggers though, hard to get a picture.
