We moved our brugs onto the patio under the shade roof just in time. We've had 3 nights of frosts - killed the squash and morning glories. I've stopped fertilizing and just water a little bit and we are still enjoying flowers. Luckily the daytime temps are okay.
The honey bees are still really busy as seen in the bottom picture. Are those the beginnings of two seed pods in the top photo? If so is there any chance they'll mature???
After much worrying we've decided to prune the brugs as Monika suggested and take them to my Mom's darkish 50 degree F basement for the winter. The plants have got so big this their first year I'd hate to have to start over again. Have taken some cuttings and have them in the unheated greenhouse for the time being and will move them indoors to a south window when it gets colder.
