Thanks to one and all for the compliments on my Eurasian Collared Dove photo. It took some patience to get the pair to "pose" together.

The down side of these doves is that they are slowly moving across the nation and in the process they are causing problems for the normally resident doves. The white wings did the same thing, shoving the mourning doves out of their normal city habitats. Now, being larger yet, the collared doves are pushing them both aside. The white wings resist somewhat but the mourning doves are losing out to both. The latter still holding their ground out in the country but getting bullied around in all urban areas.

Yesterday was a banner day for E. Tiger females - both the standard form and the dark form. Took roughly 350 shots, mostly of the standard form, as she totally ignored my presence. Will try to spend some time today to pick out the best of each and will share them here.

This morning, while searching for our backyard wren, I spotted this male moulting cardinal. Looks more like a well used bottle brush.
