As far as seed sowing medium goes, don't fret Gail. What you did may be as good or better actually. Let us know how it goes for you. That batch of seed sent to a few DG'ers came from this plant. A large sturdy grower you see in a 6" standard pot starting to bloom so well even after producing many seedpods recently harvested. The blossom stems are strong and branched producing an average of 5-6 large blossoms per stem. I like the coral color undertones not completely evident in the photo. A tough cookie I would say.
