Al, that's a heck of a nice group of pics, I love them all. Pixie's flower really caught my eye. I have a very similar Day Lily, too.
Now what is causing a difficulty with the Malva? Is it that the flowers are on the central stem behind all the foliage? lol Don't fret, you will have plenty of opportunities to shoot them.
I even had them in December!!!
