While everyone did planting and cleaning and making - I just did destroying. Tried to move plants out of the path of the trencher laying my gas line - some jumped into my neighbor's yard - some went to places they don't belong and one went into a crate in the garage. Sigh. Tore down the stone retaining wall that friends built me last year, dug ditch paths for the trencher. Made two trips to my favorite deconstruction site for logs to use for raised bed planters. Me and my trusty bow saw cut pieces from downed trees. Found a wonderful daffodil blooming and dug up a patch and moved them into my garden along with a few mystery tulips from yesterday. Picked up a couple of rocks for my wall - when it gets rebuilt. Tore out a bunch more strawberry plants and gave them to anyone who would take some. Still have dozens more. The ones I saved and put in a raised bed are looking good and the daffodils along the walk are really peppy with all the Starbuck's coffee ground mulch I give them.
