It's GOT to be the squirrels!!! Though I don't think it is Simon the alpha male squirrel. (Yes! I named him Simon the Squirrel in honor of the sarcastic and annoying judge on American Idol! lol) I think it is one of the other squirrels. All the seed I put out is already removed from the shell. So there is NO reason to bury the seeds. I think this "other" squirrel is bored or mad because Simon hogs the squirrel feeder and takes his time eating while all the other squirrels are out there nearby watching and drooling...... and probably scavaging and digging around in my garden beds like squirrels naturally do!

Do you suppose the pepper would work to discourage squirrels digging, too?????
