I had put that sand down a month ago to keep the soil from eroding under the tree. We had to have the wooden wall installed after the hurricanes of '04. We had so much rain and erosion after those 2 hurricanes hit us, that we were concerning it would crack the foundation of our house. Now mind you, if we had neighbors instead of a vacant lots next to and behind us, this wouldn't be happening! But I do like the woods around part of our yard. We have a neighbor on the east side of our home and lots of neighbors across the street from us. So we do feel we have a little slice of nature surrounding us! :-)
