Sellier I suggest you wait until last chance of frost is over (should be very soon for you I think) and then cut them to the third leaf node. Don't cut to the ground...we are talking about tropical hibiscus, rosa sinensis? If so leave three leaf nodes on each branch to give it some space to send new leaves out.
