I brought most of the soldiers inside the house and they are sitting on shelving right inside the back door. I was looking at them this morning and they are a sad, pitiful lot. I just cannot seem to remember to water plants once they come into the house. I'm a Baaaaaaad Plant Mama!

The good news is.... I have lots of seeds to plant to my hearts content once the pond is in place.

Y'all will think I'm sheltered or something, but I've just this year found the Food Network. In reality, it took me getting sick to get control of the "clicker" for any length of time. I'm not a big TV watcher anyway, but I digress from what I was going to say.... I've learned this year many ways to use herbs. Whereas they were just ground stuff in little jars before, I now know what to use for what. I cut many springs, etc. from my herbs this past year.

I've been without a stove/oven for about a year and a half. I've used every other known kitchen appliance to cook with, including electric skillets, chicken poop 2 burner buffet style things, microwave, and toaster. Mom bought me a Convection oven.... the day AFTER Christmas. My 18 year old daughter cooked our turkey (at her house) for our Christmas dinner. She did such a great job that I've passed that job on to her for future family meals. :-)

Last weekend, I got a new stove. New to me, anyway. This new stove has 2 ovens and 5 burners. I'm cooking with gas now! Can y'all tell how excited I am about my new stove??? (insert waybigo grin here)

Yeah, Yeah, I know that this was supposed to be about plants.... but I DID start out with talking about herbs. One thing led to another...
