For the most part I hadn't had any problems with the warm weather causing my bulbs to sprout early until today when I noticed that some of my tulips that were planted near our drainage field have started to come up. What's the best thing to do? Should I cover them heavily with mulch in hopes of them wintering over, or should I let the soon to arrive single-digit temperatures do them in? Any thoughts would be vastly appreciated--I'd hate to lose any of these tulips. Thanks!
