I was at HD tonight and found a bird feeder that was clearanced and bought it. I like it because of it's looks and I want to place it on the top of a 4" X 4" post. I just thought it would look perfect there! This is a photo of it. I pondered whether to get it or not because the design is not very practical or easy to clean if I permanently mount it. So therein lies the dilemma. (I can still return it!) I am trying to figure out how to securely attach it to the post, yet make it easy to remove for cleaning and filling.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I could possilbly do that? (It was made to be hung not mounted.) I was thinking there might be some sort of flip-lock latch that I could mount to the bottom of the flat feeder and then to the post. Which would allow me to just unlatch it to remove it. My dh and I have been pondering how we could possibly come up with a way to do that.

I need some suggestions if anyone has any!
