I *love* the 'Buckeye' series, especially the ones with red-backed leaves... the plants just glow, even when they're not blooming. I had very few blooms on my AVs over the summer (there were some issues with too much light & with watering early in summer), so I've been happy that I got so interested in different types of foliage! So far, I've seen blooms from 'Buckeye Bellringer', 'Buckeye Boysenberry', 'Buckeye Cherry Topping', and this one. But I've got plantlets and leaf babies of several others, and I just got a new leaf of 'Buckeye Incognito'. :-) Many of this series are "large standards." To give you an idea of how big it gets, here's a photo of the first bloom on my 'Buckeye Boysenberry' last July... |
