Propagation is probably not as good this time of year as spring and summer but I would try it anyway if you're trimming away leaves and stems. I continue trying it but the success ratio does seem to go down with leaves.

Yes, it is amazing on how durable most plants are such as this seedling. In nature, they don't get the molly- coddling we like to give them so maybe we do tend to kill them with kindness.

Here is a begonia growing on a limestone rock in Belize. Note the little seedlings as well. I guess it doesn't need a lot of soil. It might drown if it was in soil in a place like Belize.
