Entlie - apologies for taking so long in getting back to you. I think your idea of painting the chair plumbago blue would look really pretty and particularly in the fall when the plumbago turns to its fall color!

We finished putting in the pathways and the arbor is up and in place now. I ended up with five extra Firepower Nandinas, so Larche planted them near the pond. A splash of color year around from them will look nice. Now it's rest while I wait for the mid-October shipments of more perennials to arrive.

Here is a birds-eye view of the pond and garden area. As you'll see, I have lots of options for plantings all around the pond. The day this was taken was in the early evening, but this area runs the full range of sun to shade. That gives me way too many options and it's been hard to make choices!
