Goldfinches discovered the poppies this summer. I think this picture is from late June or early July. This clever guy found a convenient dill weed to perch on, but mostly they would fly in, land on the seedpod, and try to eat the seeds while the stalk swayed back and forth under their weight. It was so funny. I wish the pictures had turned out better.
