We have already had one car of trespassers shining deer on our property, so it starts. I hear the turkeys calling from our woods and the geese are leaving. Our crop soybeans are still green green forest green, and not drying up. They are extremly healthy and tall and full this year. The best ever crop. Should be a banner year for production. We will have to wait and see what the count is over to the fuel plant. Here's a first: I actually put the heat on in the house to take off the chill the other morning. It smelled strange! Tractor Supply has chimney cleaning brushes for $11 and a 18 foot rod section for I think, $10. ???? We have brought in most of the hoses, and turned the glass table on its side, and put stuff away into the barns. Any other signs of winter? I don't know how much snow Michigan can get Connie. I remember my DH lou hurt his back about 10 years ago shoveling that heavy crusted deep stuff, but that was one time in 10 years, and it wasn't that much. In New York, we used to have 36" fall at a time, and day after day of 2 foot falls. The year I left it was a crazy snowy one. That was in 1996. since then, I haven't seen hardly any snow at all here. Mostly it just blows the heck away and tries to take my storm doors with it. LOL!!! Anyone else getting prepared for Winter come? sheri |
