MyRee wrote: Thank you to all. I do love it. I spent all day out in the gardens weeding and irrigating. I love to irrigate, (I didn't when I was growing up on the farm). I am going to have a garden party next Tuesday. They know the yard is not finished, I am still in the building stage and have had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders this spring. So I don't do a lot of lifting yet. I also had an MRI this week and I have 2 herniated disks in my lower back, one bulges out right and the next one bulges to the left so the pain changes depending on which is worse. I feel better when I keep moving, the garden helps me stretch and I do enjoy the labor. My DH and I were at a mall and a man had a shed on display, I really liked it and even though we didn't have the money we bought it anyway. The man and his son brought precut lumber and put it together. When I got home from work it was all finished. This is just one shed design he had. The wood really needs some waterproofing, My DH and daughter did it last about 5 years ago. Some day I will get to it. As you can see, I have a lot of work ahead of me. My job and my lack of strength get in the way though. The lumber pile in the last picture is going to be a walkway and raised gardens. The stone will be a small patio. This is just a work in progress, I doubt I will ever be finished. Just a most gardeners are never finished. Once in a while I just sit in the swing and enjoy the beauty of what God has given us. Blessings to all, Garden to your hearts content, Marie This is a picture of my front yard, Very small but very nice and enjoyable. |
