estreya wrote: Good morning, all! I'm in the process of landscaping a fairly new construction. Three and a half weeks ago, my lawn area was extended and reshaped with hydroseeding. Although i'm delighted with the way the lawn has come in, i'm experiencing a bit of anxiety about my "first mow." The lawn seems so tender, and i don't want to make any mistakes. If anyone here has experience with hydroseeding, might you have answers to the following questions? 1. How many days should i let the lawn dry out before i mow it? 2. Must the clippings be bagged, or can i just let them mulch back into the lawn? 3. Will the weight of my tractor (a small John Deere) cause problems on the newly graded and germinated lawn area (tire impressions, for example)? 4. Other than just letting time pass, are there any additional steps i should take to get the new lawn to blend more seamlessly with the old (i.e., the color, thickness, etc.)? I thank you in advance for your consideration and replies! Cheers! |
