Some reports are that the Bearded Dragons do the eye-bulge right before they shed the skin around their eyes, to loosen the old skin in that area, and others speculate that it's done to thermo regulate. Said to expect such to happen purtee frequently for short spurts ...

Think I'll jes stick with the few random opportunities of seeing the fence lizerds 'round here. Now, if any of them start bulgin' their eyes - wellllll, I'll know that word was spread from certain DG folks' pets .. as to how to 'freak out' yer local human bean population! (heehee)
