I found 1 of my passiflora's just full of this stuff that begins as a buldge then splits the stems wide open. I have no idea what the kernel looking things are that protrude after the vine splits. It was on my P. Constance Elliot only. I cut all the vines off to a stump and it looks like the problem is solved (knock on wood). This plant was literally touching a few other passiflora's that were all kept in a greenhouse over winter and this "problem" didn't spread to them. I sure wished I would of checked on them over winter but I didn't. I hope somebody will recogonize this freak of nature. I almost wished I would of kept some of it alive somehow just to see what the end result would of been or see if this is the end result of something. I'm beyond baffled...But that is happening more and more it seems;)
Please shed some light if you can
