I was up pretty early, and checking the new leaf miner damage on my poor glories, and all of a sudden I was face to face with one of the biggest dragonflies I'd ever seen! His eyes were so amazing and his green body so vibrant I almost thought a fly fishing lure had somehow landed there by accident! Sorry the photo doesn't do him justice- we're in the middle of "June Gloom" here on Orange County so it was overcast...
