I just returned from the UMW Roundup and was taking a stroll around my yard/garden to see where I might find room for the oodles of goodies I brought back.

Well...ah hum...normally I am against all chemical applications to control weeds, bugs etc. I finally succumbed on Monday in hopes of helping my hubby cut down on the use of that dastardly weedwacker.

It was a very calm (no wind) day and I was VERY careful about where I sprayed. Well, low and behold, I now see that there must have been overspray that landed on at least 20 of my "better" hostas...creating pencil eraser size tissue damage. Are they going to be killed by the overspray or would it take a lot of this nasty "Spectracide" (triple action, grass, weed, root) killer to do in my hostas?

Obviously, I am beside myself...I knew I shouldn't have turned to chemical warfare! Here's an example:

Thanks~
