LOL, fishing license weight must operate on the same theory that you look like your driver's license picture!!

Went out for breakfast, and since DH returned at about 10:30 last night, he has work to do on his commuter car, and I'm going to dig in some of the daisies and coneflowers I picked up this week. Still have some daylilies to put in too, so that will keep me out of trouble for the day.

Good job on the chairs, FC! One of our neighbors sold their house last year and had to pare downwith a garage sale. I stopped up there at closing time on the last day, and she still had two older bentwood kitchen chairs, one had been refinished and one still had several layers of paint on it, but they were nice. I asked how much, she said $5, and I said, well, I guess I'll just take the one finished one, and she said, Oh, take them both. So, they sat in the garage until this spring, and I gave them to DILand DS! I did get off most of the paint on the one, but then the weather got cold and I quit. DIL can finish it off, or nag DS into doing it. Otherwise, I haven't been stopping by sales very much. Friday I was just avoiding going home!

Susan, (9kitty) Elaine explained some time back that her name stands for I owe one, a reference to her faith, and when I first saw it I thought it was one-oh-one too.

I'm going to make that lemon pie today, who started that? LOL I'm so easily led astray....I'll put some on the counter for all to enjoy as it will be calorie free for you.........unfortunately not for me!

LOL Darius, I don't think even the IRS could find you!

FC, I happily had my upper teeth replaced about five years ago, and have never regretted it. After periodontal surgery, multiple pockets of infection, losing one every year that was beyond saving, I said goodby with a (new) smile. Along with their departure went styes on my eyelids, that had been plaguing me, bladder and kidney infections, etc. so there was a level of bacteria getting into my blood stream from those miserable teeth, affecting other parts of my body. Good riddance! I would not even want to think about how much money went into my mouth with no good results! All the other annoying or uncomfortable problems disappeared once the teeth were gone.

No new kitty yet, McCool, but I spoke at length with one of the breeders who had an ad in this week's paper. Great conversation, but she has only flame point siamese and some other exotic breeds. I'm going to visit her anyway at some point just to see her collection, we had such a fun conversation! She did refer me to a breeder that has one of her male flames, but who also has sealpoints. I'm calling her this afternoon.

Seal points are the darkest of the pointed siamese, chocolates are next -kind of Hershey chocolate color, then there are Blues, Lilacs, Flames, Lynx, in all the colors and Torties! She mentioned a new color point, Cinnamon, but I haven't seen one. Flames have reddish color points, and aren't appealing to me, but I've had blues and they are lovely pale gray with a cream body. And of course, all have those fabulous blue eyes.

This photo shows Oskar, Max, Mini, and Hobbes in descending order. Hobbes was a Lynx point, Mini is very dark all over her body, neither would get any points at a show. (If they would even let them in the door!!)

Sarv, great idea checking in at home during the day...you can sneak in a hot shower, too! Tell your DH we think it was very thoughtful of him to prepare a buffet for the mice, I'm sure they appreciated it and reproduced mightily as a show of their gratitude!

Maria, I married my Ex-'s nephew....in 1986 ( he wasn't related to ME, after all) and first met him when he was five years old. He was jealous of his uncle's attention to me, and wanted to push me down the stairs. LOL I'm sure there are times when he still feels that way! Didn't see him for 15 or so years after that, until my marriage was already crashing. After my divorce, in 1980, we met occasionally for pizza, and eventually he got up the courage to tell me he had feelings for me since he got out of community college. I must have looked like a fish with my mouth hanging open when he told me that. Never crossed my mind!! Anyway, all's well that ends well. I doubt your gentleman friend has any subversive motives, but since you've made yourself clear to him, he must certainly understand. We can always send the 2X4 if you need it!

Dcat, that asian buffet sounded so good! One of the ones here has scallops that they mince and add a sauce to, served in the shells, and they are just delicious. I love picking from a variety of dishes, but I especially love the hot and sour soup, except for the tofu. It is very hard to fill a bowl and avoid the tofu, but with practice, I've gotten pretty good. It is helpful that the tofu kind of floats on top.

~~~~ at everybody, sorry to rush off but I'm burning daylight here and plants are calling. Hope everyone has a good day, feels well, and you find all the gardens tools you put away last fall in a "safe place".
