I started these Ipomoea Nil 'Chocolate' and Ipomoea alba plants from seed in early March and transplanted them to their present containers in the first week of April. The Ipomoea Nil plant is the one with pink flowers at the right front and back left of the pot. I was very happy with them until now, especially when the Chocolate morning glory started blooming about a week ago. However, now I am worried about the very light green color of the newer leaves at the top of the plant. Since the veins in these light green leaves are a darker green, I assumed it was Iron deficiency and fed them Sunday with an Iron and Zinc liquid supplement. However, I'm not seeing any change in the color and have noticed that other Ipomoea Nil plants that I planted elsewhere also have light green new leaves. So...my question is, is this the normal Ipomoea Nil leaf color or is something awry? Any help anyone?
